Continuance of Provisional Affiliation - Certain Instructions

AFFILIATION – The Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R Medical University, Chennai - Continuance of Provisional Affiliation – Certain instructions issued – Regarding.

I am to state that this University has separate Statutes for Affiliation of Medical Colleges and Dental Colleges etc., wherein the procedures for submitting application for grant of Provisional Affiliation and Continuance of Provisional Affiliation are incorporated. The proforma of requirements to be submitted to the University are also given in the respective Statutes.

For instance, if one college got Affiliation for starting the first batch degree course, the said institution has to submit application for Continuance of Provisional Affiliation for the first batch and to start second batch before six months period is left for the commencement of the second batch of the degree course and the said procedures has to be followed in the subsequent batch of the degree course, till final batch.

It is noticed that the institutions are not submitting application along with required details for grant of Continuance of Provisional Affiliation for subsequent batch along with renewal permission from the respective councils wherever required which results in delay in issue of Continuance of Provisional Affiliation to the colleges.

Hence, all the institutions are requested to apply to this University for issue of Continuance of Provisional Affiliation as per the Statutes (which are available in the Web site of this University) within the time prescribed therein, failing which the application for Continuance of Provisional Affiliation will not be granted and the institution will be prohibited to admit the candidates for subsequent batch.

<>It is further informed that the name of the college from whom the application for Continuance of Provisional Affiliation is not received, will not be referred to Selection Committee for inclusion in the Seat Matrix.

Hence, all the institutions are requested to submit the application for Continuance of Provisional Affiliation in time to avoid the above said consequences.
