Visit of the delegation from Kuwait University. May.10, 2012.
A high level delegation from the Kuwait University visited few prestigious Medical Universities in India to develop the curriculum and organization for the proposed Medical University in Kuwait.
This delegation visited the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University on 10th May, 2012. The visit was initiated by Prof. J. S. Bajaj, Former member, Planning Commission of India.
The high level visiting delegation consisted of Prof. Abdullatif A. Al Bader, President, Kuwait University, Prof. Basel Al Naqeeb, Vice President for Health Sciences, Prof. Firyal Bou Rabee, Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs and Development, Prof. Hussain Dashti, Professor of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine and Mr. Mohd Saud Al Sulaiman, Director of Administration, President’s office.
The purpose of the visit was to learn about the structural organization and operational framework of this University and also for academic interactions with the Faculty of the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University. The visiting delegation was explained in detail through a presentation by the Registrar of this University about each and every academic and administrative departments of this University. The team was also taken on a tour of the University.
The meet will bear fruitful outcomes in terms of collaborations at various levels between the two Universities.
Visit of the Russian Academicians to the University. May.18, 2012.
A team of academicians consisting of Dr. Rogov Alexander, Deputy Dean, Volgograd State medical University, Prof. Kislyy Nikolay, Vice-Dean of Medical faculty, People’s Friendship University of Russai, Moscow, Dr. Sinclshchikova Olga, Chief Expert of Department of Asia, accompanied by Mr. Ravichandran, managing Director, Study Abroad, Russian Centre of Science and Culture, visited the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University on 18th may, 2012.
The meeting happened on request of the Cultural Department of the Russian Embassy in South India.
The representatives of the Russian Universities made a presentation about their institutions. A details description about the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University was also given to the visiting delegates by the Registrar. The possibilities of faculty and student exchange and interaction between the Medical Educational Institutions in both the countries was discussed in detail.
